House Site 2
This house site needs to be cut down from the crown of the hill to allow the westerly wind
to blow over the top. The client also required the house pad to be large enough for the house
and some yard space.
Firstly we stripped all the top soil from the site placing it around the site for recovering
at the end. We were then required to cut into the side of the hill. Here we used a terrace
to enable us to both get the depth we required and not leave a large wall at the back of the
house pad. The client was then able to use the terrace as garden space further softening the
cut.
Care is always taken to make sure we get the drainage right using the latest laser levelling
equipment available.
